Training and mentoring

How can I train my staff to make the ask? What can I do to ensure they work effectively with volunteers, academics, scientists or other specialists? How can we help our volunteers and senior staff to become better fundraisers?

Many of us are regular trainers and presenters for professional associations (including CASE and the Institute of Fundraising). So we definitely recommend that you make use of all the opportunities they offer! However, sometimes an in-house training session for several staff is a much more practical and cost-effective option. Whatever the topic, we’re likely to have a relevant expert who also has experience of training. And our philosophy is that the best training is always interactive. We’ll use case studies, role-plays, video, audio, debate and discussion to fill your specific skills gaps.

One-to-one mentoring is an alternative, highly effective option for senior staff or one-person development offices.
