Doctor of the University award for Joanna

Loughborough University awarded Joanna Motion the Honorary Degree of Doctor of the University at its winter degree ceremony.

In his citation, the Orator, Jon Walker, described Joanna as “a hugely significant figure, playing a leading role in a transformation that would propel university advancement to a mainstream role in the future of higher education”.

Joanna congratulated the University, under Shirley Pearce’s leadership, on “a wonderful sense of purpose and personality and momentum” in expressing deep appreciation for the award – her second Honorary Doctorate within the year.
