Paul Weighand joins
More Partnership

17 September 2018

More Partnership is pleased to announce that Paul Weighand is joining as a Partner today.

Paul joins More Partnership having worked in information management and systems development for the past 18 years. Paul has spent the last 10 years establishing a sector-leading fundraising analytics programme at The University of Edinburgh. He has driven business change by adopting an evidence-led approach to inform fundraising and engagement activities from major giving to direct mail, community and telephone fundraising, more than doubling alumni donor numbers in the process.

Paul successfully enhanced the University's prospect management framework, looking specifically at prospect pipeline development, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling. This included assisting the successful delivery of the Edinburgh Campaign, the University’s £350m campaign in 2012 and, more recently, developing the infrastructure that helped secure a record year of £37m in new gifts in 2016/17.

Paul has presented on a range of topics at numerous conferences for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), from best practice in research to predictive modelling and telethon performance analysis. Most recently, Paul co-chaired the 2016 CASE Europe Development Services Conference. Paul was awarded a Special Recognition Commendation from the Institute of Fundraising in 2012 for his predictive modelling work.

Paul is experienced in providing leadership and management of support services, acting as Director of Development Services in 2015, during which time Paul led the University’s initial response to the new regulatory landscape. This paved the way for a refreshed approach to data governance and the implications of GDPR.

Paul has a degree in History from the University of Edinburgh, giving him a sound knowledge of the research process as well as a natural curiosity to dig deeper into the data.

Catrin Tilley, Partner at More, said, “We are delighted to welcome Paul to More Partnership – he will enormously strengthen our offer to provide our clients with a deeper understanding of how business intelligence, data management and strong operating processes are essential for fundraising success.

Paul starts his role with More Partnership today. You can contact him by email on pweighand@morepartnership.com or connect with him on LinkedIn.
