Originally aspiring to become an academic, halfway through my master’s thesis I found the lonely work of research was not for me. Yet the University of Amsterdam offered me the opportunity to make a different contribution, as a fundraiser. I remain genuinely convinced of the power of education and cultural institutions to change the face of society and the lives of the individuals that shape its future. It has given me a deep-rooted inspiration to accompany institutions and charities in their mission to increase their impact by building meaningful, sustainable partnerships with supporters who share their aspirations.

Outside More

An avid scuba diver, sailor and aspirational pilot, I enjoy seeking the thrill of challenging my personal strength, balanced by ancient and modern technology, against the awesome forces of wind and water.

Born in Greece and raised in the Netherlands, I find myself at home in the world, travelling and enjoying interaction with international friends, colleagues – and total strangers! – and learning from their diverse views, customs, cultures and languages.

When not travelling, I enjoy catching up on life over long dinners at home with my partner and friends.
