I feel deeply privileged to work in philanthropy, now alongside individuals I count as my mentors and friends. I was trained in high value fundraising by More Partnership at the outset of my career nearly 25 years ago and was captivated instantly by their extensive knowledge and professionalism. That sparked my transition from community to major gift fundraising and a journey that has taken me from fundraiser, to director, to consultant.

I hugely enjoy cultivating donors, learning from them, as well as engaging them on their philanthropic endeavours. I specialise in initiating and re-energising major donor programmes, as well the recruitment and development of senior volunteers; building meaningful relationships that extend well beyond their financial support.

In essence, I believe that there is no silver bullet in fundraising. It’s not about the next big ice bucket challenge or other passing fad; it’s about the development of a visionary proposition, exceptional relationship building and the creation of intricate systems and processes that underpin the entire operation.
